The Pacific Northwest Ballet (PNB) is one of the five largest and most highly regarded ballet companies in the United States. The Company of 49 dancers presents 90 performances each year of full-length and mixed repertory ballets. PNB needed help optimizing Tessitura, their newly acquired ticketing/fundraising system. Their marketing and development departments turned to JCA to project manage the implementation of their newly converted software. In an effort to integrate ticket sales with fundraising and marketing information, PNB acquired Tessitura. We performed a comprehensive review of their current system, The Raiser’s Edge®, and developed a detailed project plan and budget to guide the implementation. During the analysis, we identified database cleanup issues and set forth a comprehensive plan to address those issues. Action steps included a combination of in-house data cleaning done by PNB staff and programmatic database-wide reorganization provided by JCA. We applied our proven data conversion methodology to guide PNB through the process, using a strategic process to gather the conversion requirements and follow-up documentation to ensure that all parties involved had an opportunity to approve the conversion procedures. Following the approval, we worked with PNB to thoroughly test and update the data as necessary. At the end of the project, PNB's marketing and development departments were left with in an integrated and efficient fundraising and ticketing system and a much clearer picture of their relationship to their supporters. |
