ASP.Net Software Engineer

Position Summary

Jacobson Consulting Applications, Inc. (JCA) has an immediate opening in our Fort Collins, CO office for an ASP.Net Software Engineer.

As an ASP.net Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing and supporting web and e-commerce applications which are integrated with external APIs and other applications. You will work with clients and other JCA team members to create, deploy and maintain Internet applications for our non-profit clients. These applications may be deployed on the client's site, or to our hosting environment.

You will also provide operational support of existing systems and develop additional releases and modifications on our databases and web sites.  Adaptability is key - as we switch between new and old technologies, integrate with 3rd party vendor applications.

Responsibilities

• Working in a collaborative team environment supporting and building 3-tier (n-tier) websites and web based applications
• Analysis and design based on functional requirements
• Support existing business systems by providing design, development, testing and deployment services as assigned
• Implement Web Service interfaces between business applications
• Maintain documentation for development and systems
• Conceptualize and prototype appropriate solutions, presenting them to the development team
• Coordinate with peers on design implications and work with them to resolve issues

• Database design, development experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 that includes developing SQL queries and stored procedures

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or MIS or similar
• At least 2 years of experience in a Developer role utilizing Microsoft tools
• Experience in multi-tier web based applications using HTML, XML/XSLT, HTTP, JavaScript, C#, ASP.Net, AJAX, T-SQL, CSS and/or IIS
• Experience supporting ASP.NET/IIS applications
• Exposure to production infrastructure and environments, deployment processes, application maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Strong Knowledge of C#/.Net Framework and SQL Server
• Experience building and consuming web services
• Knowledge of SOAP, XML, XSLT, AJAX, JSON, Web Services, LINQ, Entity Framework and ADO.NET
• Database Design and programming experience ( MS-SQL 2005/2008)
• Strong understanding of Application security and secure programming concepts.
• Professional demeanor and ability to handle a fast paced, high pressure user base
• Ability to work in a team environment
