James Walker joins JCA as Director of Products

January 31, 2018

JCA, a leading technology consultancy for nonprofit organizations, is pleased to announce the addition of James Walker to its leadership team. Walker joins JCA as Director of Products and will oversee product development and strategy for the company’s software platforms and services (software provided by JCA include JCA AnswersTM, ArtifaxEvent, Revenue Management ApplicationTM, Segmentation EngineTM, T-StatsTM, and Tessitura DashboardsTM).

A respected and longtime nonprofit technology professional, Walker joins JCA from the Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF) where he served as the Director of Information Technology. During his tenure at OSF, he oversaw all aspects of IT (operations, business system administration and software development) and infused agile methodology into the culture of OSF’s technology teams. He oversaw re-development of its internal infrastructure and systems, including support systems for OSF’s Annual Membership program, which generates 35% of its operating income over a six individual on-sale days.

Prior to joining OSF, Walker served as Application Development Manager at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival where he oversaw development for their web and digital media initiatives. He created and managed Stratford’s internal Application Development team and played a significant role in developing a data-driven culture based on analysis and business intelligence.

Walker also previously served on the Board of the Tessitura Network and was the Vice President of the Board of CIOArts, an organization comprised of leading technology professionals at cultural organizations across North America. His reputation as a thought leader within nonprofit technology circles will be of tremendous benefit to JCA and its clients.

A friend and fan of JCA for many years, Walker is committed to the work of nonprofits and is excited to join the JCA team where he can support the mission of nonprofits the world over.
