JCA Arts Marketing Speaks at NAMP

STEVEN ROTH AND TIMMY METZNER TO SPEAK AT NATIONAL ARTS MARKETING PROJECT
JCA Arts Marketing President Steven Roth, and JCA Arts Marketing Consultant Brian Franko, are pleased to speak at the National Arts Marketing Project (NAMP) held November 11-14, 2017, in Austin, Texas.
Steven Roth’s presentation, “What Are You Really Selling? Arts Marketing & the Patron Journey” will be held on Sunday, November 13, from 9-10:15 a.m. Arts organizations are mission driven, and this defines the core product(s). But when thinking about customer experience and consumer satisfaction, what are we really selling? Explore the importance of a Unique Selling Proposition (USP) and examine the intricacies of what creates consumer expectations and satisfaction. Determine your organization’s USP, and how it relates to product characteristics, price structure, placement strategy (location and distribution), and promotional strategy.
Timmy Metzner’s presentation, “The New Frontier of Dynamic Pricing” will be held Monday, November 14, from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Over the past few years, many arts and cultural organizations have embraced dynamic pricing—including museums. This session will go beyond the basics to some new, cutting-edge strategies. Explore maximizing revenue from off-genre productions; using a ‘revenue management approach’ when evaluating museum membership pricing; implementing dynamic pricing for museum special exhibitions; avoiding contaminating inventory when setting up subscriptions; and measuring the revenue and attendance response to pricing changes.
