JCA to Moderate Panel at Woodmark Summit 2016

JCA has been selected to moderate a panel of healthcare experts at the Woodmark Summit, April 28 at 8am. The title of the presentation is Measuring and Mentoring Your Major Gifts Officers Successfully. This presentation will benefit executives and anyone who manages a major gifts program.
PRESENTATION DESCRIPTION
Successful major gifts professionals have a huge impact on our overall fundraising. They maintain relationships with our most generous supporters, and they skillfully help drive large revenue for our programs. Yet, the time frame on cultivation can be long, so identifying “success versus struggle” early is important. Mentoring for effectiveness can be a challenge for executives and those who manage a major gifts program. Come hear our panelists discuss the metrics and management strategies they implemented for their major gifts program—and what worked, and what didn’t.
Participants will:
- Discover how some Woodmark hospitals are using metrics and management strategies to advance their major gifts programs.
- Uncover ways these hospitals have been successful in developing and managing their programs, as well as the challenges in implementing new approaches.
- Learn tips for measuring their gift officers’ impact early on in the fundraising process, and how to best mentor them throughout the process.
Panelists include James Minehart, PMP, Manager of Consulting Services at JCA; Lisa Slater, Associate VP, Principal & Major Gifts at Children’s Hospital Trust Boston; and Thomas Maness, Associate VP, Annual, Major and Planned Giving at Children’s National Medical Center.
