MORE ABOUT CYNAMON
Where do you work? Where are you from?

I work from a home office in Lake Worth, Florida, a city in Palm Beach County in South Florida. I grew up just west of Lake Worth in Royal Palm Beach, Florida. I also lived in Orlando, Titusville (by the Kennedy Space Center) and Tampa before settling in Lake Worth.

What do you do at JCA?

I am a software engineer for the Services department. I work on data analysis projects, data conversion projects, SSRS reports, and application programming. I work with business analysts to help our clients clean up their data and move data from their old system to a new system they selected. I have worked with several databases, including: thankQ, Raiser’s Edge, Patron’s Edge, Tessitura, Artifax, and Banner.

What is your background? What brought you to JCA?

I have a degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida. I took several programming classes and internships while in college, which allowed me to work as a computer programmer for The Boeing Company at the Kennedy Space Center as my first job after college. I worked on Windows application and website programming projects for other departments within the Space Center while at Boeing. I was hired as a computer programmer for JCA after working for Boeing.

What do you do outside of JCA?

I enjoy spending time with my family. I love to watch our kids play indoor and beach volleyball. We travel to several indoor volleyball tournaments with our daughter’s club team throughout the year. We like to do outdoor activities like camping, hiking, mountain biking, and paddle boarding.

What is one of your favorite stories of/with a JCA client?

I usually don’t work directly with clients, but when I have, it involves working out a technical challenge that we both feel grateful afterwards to solve together.

  • It’s time to make the technical more personal.

Turn your technology investment into a powerful advantage. Our nonprofit experts are here to show you how.
