Fiona Buttars Receives Soul Award for 5 Years of Service

April 19, 2021

April 19, 2021 – JCA recognizes Fiona Buttars, Manager of Professional Services, with a Soul Award for 5 years of service. The Soul Awards were established to recognize achievements of JCA employees, beginning at 5 years of service. At various levels, the award includes a donation to plant trees in our national forests, vacation bonuses, additional compensation, and personalized tributes.

Fiona, a certified Project Management Professional, has managed numerous JCA projects, including system selections, system implementations, data conversions, integrations, customizations, report development, database support, needs assessments, pricing studies, and customer behavior analysis. She has experience working with clients in the health care, higher education, and arts and cultural sector. Prior to joining JCA, Fiona was the Director of Database Operations at the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, and also held marketing operations and patron services roles with the organizations. She earned her BA at Trent University and received her Certificate for Project Management at the University of Toronto.

“Fiona is an invaluable member of JCA,” remarked Kate Mead, JCA Director of Professional Services. “As a Project Manager, she is always eager to tackle the most complex projects, and she does so with a great deal of thoughtfulness about the client and the project’s success. Fiona is also one of the most organized people I know; she never lets anything fall through the cracks. As a manager, I value her input and insight into the way we work and how we can increase our effectiveness. I am happy to celebrate this milestone anniversary, and I look forward to hopefully many more years of working together.”

Fiona has made JCA a better place with her warmth, generosity, and expertise. Congratulations, Fiona!
