James Minehart, PMP and Kate Mead, PMP promoted to new roles on JCA Leadership Team
NEW YORK, New York – JCA (Jacobson Consulting Applications, Inc.), an independent consulting firm dedicated to the technology and information management needs of nonprofits, has promoted two employees to new leadership roles. James Minehart, PMP, will be promoted to the role of JCA’s Chief Operating Officer, and Kate Mead, PMP, will be promoted to Director of Professional Services. Incorporated in 1988 by CEO Steve Jacobson, the company has grown from a staff of one to a staff of 40 and is considered one of the world’s foremost boutique consulting companies in nonprofit information management.
James Minehart has been a Director in the Services Group and has been instrumental in building efficiencies in project delivery for the team. James has helped clients across the nation with multi-department needs analysis, process improvements, software gap analysis, enterprise software implementation, and more. As a certified project manager, James was instrumental in developing JCA’s Project Management Center (PMC), and has managed both waterfall and agile projects at JCA. James has helped a diverse selection of organizations, including Art Institute of Chicago, Texas Children’s Hospital, World Wildlife Fund, and many others with projects across a broad spectrum of technologies. Prior to joining JCA, James worked in operations roles with Lewis & Clark College, YWCA of Greater Portland, and the Manhattan Theatre Club. A recognized expert in technology and operations issues, James is a frequent speaker at national and regional conferences for nonprofit organizations, including CASE, AASP, and others.
Kate Mead joined JCA in 2005 as a Senior Consultant and has been serving as the Senior Manager of Services for the past several years. Kate has worked with a variety of nonprofits while at JCA, with a special focus on Higher Education and Healthcare organizations. Clients include Brown University, Vassar College, University of Arizona Foundation, Boston Children’s Hospital, and Children’s Hospital Foundation of Children’s National Medical Center. Prior to joining JCA, Kate oversaw fundraising systems at organizations such as Junior Achievement and the American Red Cross.
